Lifetime pasture: Calves are born right on our pastures and stay there for their entire lives. We never confine them to feedlots.
No grain, ever: It takes longer for the cattle to grow on grass alone. The corn and grain products speed up the process. We wait until the cattle have enough fat on them that the meat is tender and that they are at the right age. From first milk to final harvest, our cattle eat only fresh forage (grasses, legumes, browse) or pasture‑dried hay/haylage in winter. Zero corn, soy, or grain by‑products—no exceptions.
Zero Synthetic Inputs
No chemical fertilizers or herbicides on grazing acres. We rely on natural fertility from manure, compost teas, and legume nitrogen fixation.
Medication as a last resort: We select hardy genetics and low‑stress stockmanship to prevent illness. If an animal truly needs antibiotics to relieve suffering, it’s treated—but then redirected out of the 100 % grass‑fed program.
