How is our Grass-Fed Beef in Oklahoma Sourced?
What breed of cattle do we raise?
We run a crossbred commercial herd that consists of Angus, Maine- Anjou and Simmental influences. This allows our cattle to adapt to our climate as well as produce a quality product.
Where are we located?
The ranch spans 23,000 acres in the eastern plains of New Mexico. Here, the land is dedicated to raising high-quality cattle, which are then transported to our ranch in western Oklahoma. This ranch is known for its commitment to finishing cattle with expert care, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality.
Do we use antibiotics, growth hormones, etc?
We treat cattle humanely and do not sell meat from cattle that have been given antibiotics or growth hormones. We understand the concern regarding what we put in our bodies.
Do we deliver?
Yes! We personally deliver to your doorstep in the metro areas of Oklahoma. We also ship.
Can I pick it up at the location?
Yes, avoid shipping and come visit us.
Why does some Grass Fed beef taste better than others?
We use calves that are approximately 20 to 24 months old.
Several factors can influence the taste variations in grass-fed beef. One of the most important is the quality of the pasture where the cattle graze. Nutrient-rich grasses, herbs, and legumes can contribute unique flavors to the meat. Additionally, the breed of cattle, their age at the time of harvest, and their overall health can also affect the taste of the beef.
Furthermore, how the meat is processed and handled after slaughter can impact its flavor. Proper aging and storage techniques are essential for developing the meat's tenderness and flavor profile. Cooking methods and seasoning choices can further enhance or mask the natural flavors of grass-fed beef.
